Creating the Future for Aging in Vermont
• LeadingAge Vermont (LAVT) is made up of independent elder housing providers, assisted living residences, residential care homes, and continuing care retirement communities in all parts of the state. Our common agenda is to promote thoughtful people-centered long-term care policy decisions in Vermont.
• Our mission is to create an integrated network of long term care services for all in Vermont, supporting the ability of seniors and persons with a disability to remain in their community of choice.
• LeadingAge Vermont (LAVT) is our state's affiliate with LeadingAge, a national organization with 30,000 members- all nonprofit elder care providers. LeadingAge advocates for policy changes at the national level and in states across the nation that expand the world of possibilities in aging including promoting healthy aging and appropriate funding streams for Housing with Services.
