BURLINGTON – Heineberg Senior Housing will host a reception for the month long Seniors in the Fiber Arts Show on Wednesday, October 25th beginning at 2pm. The event is free and open to the public. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided.

The common room at Heineberg Senior Housing has been transformed into an art gallery for the month of October featuring work by many of the residents and also from other area artists. Art work includes quilting, knitting, crewel work, crocheting, tatting and other original fiber arts pieces. “There is some beautiful work displayed,” notes Assistant Property Manager Gabrielle Hammond. Guest speaker Kay Tomczak, a local quilter, will be speaking on how inspiration dictates design. Seniors in the Fiber Arts is a collaboration of the Heineberg Senior Center and Heineberg Senior Housing.
