Cathedral Square is now accepting applications for Allard Square, which is on schedule to open in October 2018.

Under construction on Market Street in South Burlington near Barnes & Noble and the Blue Mall, Allard Square will offer 39 one- and two-bedroom apartments, with a mix of affordable and market-rate rents. Amenities will include a lounge, community room with kitchen, exercise room, activity room, elevators, laundry facilities, covered parking, on-site storage and garden beds for residents’ use. Three apartments will be fully ADA accessible; all apartments will be adaptable. The building will meet Efficiency Vermont’s High-Performance Multifamily Building standard and will be located on a bus route. Rent will include heat, air conditioning, hot water, laundry and electricity.

Allard Square will offer Support and Services at Home (SASH®) at no cost to residents. SASH is a care-coordination program that helps residents access the care they need to stay healthy while living safely and comfortably at home. Residents will benefit from an on-site SASH coordinator and part-time wellness nurse.

Allard Square is named after Cathedral Square’s longest-tenured resident, Doris Allard, who has lived at the original Cathedral Square residence in Burlington, adjacent to the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, for 39 years.
