Hotel Vermont is hosting an evening of live jazz with a silent art auction to benefit Cathedral Square Senior Living, a nonprofit, affordable housing community across from the hotel on Cherry Street, on Wednesday, April 12, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The event will feature Isabella’s Jazz Quartet and a cash bar.

Works by Katharine Montstream, Tony Shull, Deb Schonberg and other Vermont artists are among the pieces to be auctioned.  Admission is free, with free parking available for two hours in the adjacent parking garage.

Proceeds will support activities for seniors living at the residence. “We like to provide guided trips to museums, presentations and local restaurants to enrich residents’ lives, and the funds we raise from this auction will make these events possible,” says activities coordinator Kristin D’Agostino.

Cathedral Square Senior Living is one of 29 affordable, service-enriched senior living communities in Chittenden and Franklin counties. It was the first residence built by the nonprofit Cathedral Square Corporation upon its founding in 1977.
