Maintenance Technician

Summary:  Responsible for a full range of property maintenance duties including painting, heating and ventilation troubleshooting and repair, responding to work orders, minor plumbing and electrical work, snow shoveling, and landscaping. Daily assignments will vary due to the site and availability of other maintenance staff.  He/she will also be on call for maintenance emergencies.

Property Manager

The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations at the properties he/she is assigned to, including; building a trusting relationship with residents, creating a sense of community among residents, oversight of expenses, and be in compliance of all regulatory requirements.  Due to the number of properties and the size the Property Manager’s duties and responsibilities will vary.

Qualification:  Must possess a high school diploma.  A degree in Social Work, Business or related field is preferred.  At least one year of experience managing properties and knowledge of HUD, LIHTC and other applicable housing regulations is preferred.  Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities and knowledge of community services available for seniors is preferred.  Must possess good interpersonal communication skills and be able to relate to a wide variety of people.  The ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations and display good decision-making abilities is critical to the success of this position.  Must possess good analytical skills and the ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Publisher.  Must possess a valid driver’s license. Memory Care Community Enrichment Specialist is an AmeriCorps position.

Summary: The MCAB Community Enrichment Specialist is responsible for enhancing resident quality of life through the development and presentation of programing for our Memory Care residents.  The CE Specialist will engage and connect with our community members, enhancing their functioning, social interaction, and expression. The Specialist assists resident volunteers in the provision of activities and programs developed by the Programing Coordinator.  They serve in partnership with the Programing Coordinator to design programing on a monthly basis. Qualifications:  Must be a U.S. citizen and a high school graduate; associate’s degree in related field with two years’ experience preferred. This position starts March 2, 2020 through August 28, 2020 that pays a $10,800 living allowance plus an education award of $3,047.50 upon successful completion of service.

Hours and Location: Full-time, Memory Care, Williston and Requires 900 hours for an average of 40 hours per week for 26 weeks.


SASH Program Assistant

Summary: S/he provides administrative support to the SASH Statewide Administrative Team.  Assist with SASH logistical tracking systems, grants management, program communication support, and coordination of logistics involved with trainings. Update and maintain SASH staff directories, referral tracking, and forms.  Create 1 monthly SASH newsletter and disseminate.

Qualifications: Must possess an Associates Degree or equivalent college level education in Business or related field.  Must possess at least two years of general administrative experience.  The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with frequent interruption is required.  Must possess a customer service orientation, the ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with others and work in an organized manner.  Ability to research and trouble-shoot independently.  Respond quickly in time-pressure situations.  Must have experience operating standard business equipment.    Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, must be able to type at least 40 wpm.  Must possess a technical aptitude; comfort with software applications preferred, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.  Experience with Access, JotForm, and Constant Contact a plus. Summary: The cook prepares and serves meals in a friendly, professional manner to Memory Care residents.  The Cook’s responsibilities involve all facets of kitchen operations including ordering, preparing, serving, cleaning, receiving, inspecting and rejecting orders, and the monitoring of all kitchen equipment.  The Cook is required to have on-call duties to cover for the Manager of Food Service.

Qualifications:  Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.  Must be able to read and follow instructions, recipes and resident information as well as perform basic math.    Flexibility in working schedule and weekend/ holiday availability is necessary.  Must possess good interpersonal communication skills and be able to relate to a wide variety of people.  Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is preferred.  Prior cooking experience is preferred. Summary: Provides care and services to residents who are functionally, physically or socially impaired within the scope of license at our Assisted Living Residence, under the direction of the LPN Supervisor.  Provides nurse duties to include medication management and administration, assessment, and treatment. The LPN will also be required to provide on-call clinical consultation to the staff as needed. S/he supports a philosophy of aging in place consistent with the mission of assisted living and in compliance with the State of Vermont Level III Assisted Living/Residential Care Home regulations.

Qualifications: Must possess a Vermont LPN license.  Experience in long term care setting preferred.  Able to think, act and intervene appropriately in both routine and emergency situations.  Must possess a high degree of interpersonal communication skills to relate with a wide variety of individuals. He/she must have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Resident Assistant

This person would help residents who need 24-hour oversight in one of our two professional caretaking properties: Cathedral Square Assisted Living and Memory Care at Allen Brook. Giving support with daily activities and personal care includes mobility, dressing, eating, personal hygiene and administering medications.
