Manager of Food Service

Summary: The Manager of Food Service has full managerial responsibility of the food service programs with a commitment of cooking healthy, locally-sourced, fresh food for our residents.  The manager will work collaboratively with staff and directors in a team oriented and professional manner.  Must be able to accommodate different dietary restrictions/needs while meeting budgetary requirements and applicable regulations.  The manager is responsible for supervision of staff, menu planning, ordering of food, maintains inventory, food preparation and serving activities.

Qualifications: Must possess an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel & Restaurant Management or equivalent background and experience.  At least five years of previous supervisory and cooking experience in commercial food service is required.  Knowledge of OSHA regulations is essential.  Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and a great leadership ability is key. SASH Coordinator

Summary:  The primary function of the Support and Services at Home (SASH) Coordinator is to build trusting relationships with participants in SASH in order to develop a thorough knowledge of each SASH participant’s strengths and challenges as they pertain to remaining safely in his or her home.  The SASH Coordinator convenes the on-site SASH team on a regular basis to coordinate care and services to meet the needs of SASH participants.  The goal of the SASH model is to enhance the coordination of person-centered health and wellness services in order to assist residents to remain in their homes as their health and functional needs change.

Qualifications:  Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Social Work or equivalent combination of background and experience.  Previous experience coordinating services specifically for the senior or adult with disability client population is preferred.  Knowledge of area resources and programs available to seniors and adults with disabilities, including transportation, health services, and recreational activities is essential.  Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication is required. SASH Data Systems Support Specialist

This position is responsible for assisting and educating, under supervision of Data Systems Manager, statewide SASH staff in the primary database system. The candidate will update SASH staff access and participant caregiver information in all other software platforms in which the SASH network participates. Leading regularly scheduled training webinars on primary data system may be required.

Qualifications:  Intermediate or advanced skills and knowledge of relevant software packages (MS Office Suite and web intelligence strongly preferred.  Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, be self-directed, and take initiative.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide technical training to varying levels of computer users.  Excellent customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and part of a collaborative team. Maintenance Tech – Pier Diem

Responsible for a full range of property maintenance duties including painting, heating and ventilation troubleshooting and repair, responding to work orders, minor plumbing and electrical work, snow shoveling, landscaping, custodial and apartment turnovers. Daily assignments will vary due to the site and availability of other maintenance staff. He/she will also be on call for maintenance emergencies once every 11 weeks.

High school diploma or equivalent required, ideally with at least one year of experience in residential maintenance. Summary: Provides care and services to residents who are functionally, physically or socially impaired within the scope of license at our Assisted Living Residence, under the direction of the LPN Supervisor.  Provides nurse duties to include medication management and administration, assessment, and treatment. The LPN will also be required to provide on-call clinical consultation to the staff as needed. S/he supports a philosophy of aging in place consistent with the mission of assisted living and in compliance with the State of Vermont Level III Assisted Living/Residential Care Home regulations.

Qualifications: Must possess a Vermont LPN license.  Experience in long term care setting preferred.  Able to think, act and intervene appropriately in both routine and emergency situations.  Must possess a high degree of interpersonal communication skills to relate with a wide variety of individuals. He/she must have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Resident Assistant

This person would help residents who need 24-hour oversight in one of our two professional caretaking properties: Cathedral Square Assisted Living and Memory Care at Allen Brook. Our caregivers are committed individuals who understand the importance of meeting the needs of residents by supporting them in maintaining a high quality of life. Giving support with daily activities and personal care includes mobility, dressing, eating, personal hygiene and administering medications.


  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; LNA certification preferred
  • Prior experience as a nursing assistant or aide to people who are elderly or disabled preferred
  • Must be able to think, act and intervene appropriately in both routine and emergency situations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; able to relate to a variety of people
  • Able to communicate effectively through writing
