Accessibility, security, comfort and affordability are key features of Cathedral Square communities. Recognizing that animal companionship adds to the quality of life, we allow residents to have up to two pets (only one may be a dog). Our caring and professional on-site staff provide a range of support services, including SASH® (Support and Services at Home). We offer three types of rental housing:

  • Accessibility features throughout
  • Community spaces for activities inspired by residents and supported by staff
  • Heat, electricity, laundry, maintenance and trash removal included in rent
  • Underground/covered parking available at Elm Place, Grand Way Commons, McAuley Square, Thayer House, Town Meadow and Wright House

Shared Housing  (Ruggles House)

  • Efficiency apartments, each with a private bath, in a home-like setting
  • Residents may purchase meals and/or housekeeping
  • Ideal for those seeking a family-like atmosphere

Assisted Living & Memory Care  (view options)

  • Private apartments with bath
  • Accessible unit baths and kitchenettes (Assisted Living only)
  • Personal-care services available around the clock in a licensed setting
  • On-site nursing
  • Medication management overseen by a registered nurse
  • All meals included
  • Activities and some transportation provided

Eligibility

All Cathedral Square communities have eligibility requirements. Some are available to people 55 and older, some for people 62 and older or with a disability, some are for families who are furthering their education, and others serve people needing support or accommodations.
Many of our communities offer project-based rental assistance, which calculates rent based on income. Tax-credit-financed apartments, priced below market rate, are also available, and Section 8 vouchers are accepted and welcomed.
