Fitzgerald Named VermontBiz 91 Influencer for Second Year

Cathedral Square is proud to share that CEO Kim Fitzgerald has once again been named to Vermont Business Magazine's 91 Influencers list. This year's roster recognizes leaders across business, healthcare, nonprofits, technology, and public service who are shaping Vermont's future.
Now in its second year, the 91 Influencers designation takes its name from 1791, the year Vermont became the 14th state. VermontBiz readers nominated candidates across a range of fields, and the magazine's editorial team selected 91 honorees for 2026 from among them.
In a profile shared by VermontBiz, Kim reflected on a career spent entirely in affordable housing, including seven years at VHFA followed by 25 years at Cathedral Square. She described representing and supporting low-income, older Vermonters as work she finds deeply meaningful and named being selected as Cathedral Square's CEO after a nationwide search as one of the greatest honors of her career.
Asked for her best advice to her younger self, Kim said: take good care of yourself so you have the strength, energy, and perspective to care for others, a philosophy that has shaped both her leadership style and Cathedral Square's approach to supporting older Vermonters. She also pointed to Vermont's natural beauty, the mountains, lakes, and changing seasons, as her favorite thing about the state, and shared that her granddaughters keep her young and inspired through crafts, cooking, and everyday adventures.
Kim's continued recognition reflects not only her own vision and dedication, but the work of the entire Cathedral Square team in advancing housing and services for older Vermonters across the state.
