Hands in the Kitchen

Nutrition Workshops for Older Vermonters
Cathedral Square is honored to be the home of Hands in the Kitchen. This beloved program was originally founded by HANDS (Helping and Nurturing Diverse Seniors), an organization dedicated to serving older adults facing food insecurity in Chittenden County. Their first class was actually held at Thayer House, a Cathedral Square community!
About the Program:
- A workshop series designed to help older adults maximize nutrition and learn about topics like fighting inflammation with food, superfoods for seniors, and getting the most from fresh produce
- Led by Chef Robin Burnett, who has been teaching these classes for years
- Available to residents across all Cathedral Square communities
- Offered in both in-person workshop format and video archive for on-demand learning
