Housing Incentive Program

We are working to become part of the solution to ending homelessness in Vermont.
Drawing on our experience, expertise, and success in innovating around housing and services, we developed the Housing Incentive Program (HIP) which will support persons and families coming from homelessness to be successfully housed over the long term.

SUPPORT FOR HIP
“We believe in Vermont’s housing community and the power of lifting fellow citizens to a better place. Cathedral Square’s dedication to finding creative solutions to dignified shelter and services has blazed a remarkable trail over 47 years. We want to support their Housing Incentive Program as our way of helping to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for Vermonters striving to achieve greater stability and longer-term security.”
TOM LEAVITT, President and CEO, Northfield Savings Bank
“DRM understands that stable housing is a fundamental need, and by contributing to this initiative, we can help those exiting homelessness find the stability they need to rebuild their lives. We hope our involvement inspires other businesses to join this crucial effort to end homelessness in our state."
TIM SAMPSON, Director, Downs Rachlin Martin
"At Alliant, we believe that access to stable housing is fundamental to building healthier communities. Cathedral Square’s commitment to providing dignified housing and essential services is truly inspiring, and we are proud to support their efforts. Through our contribution, we hope to play a small part in fostering greater security and opportunity for Vermonters in need."
BRYAN MUSA, DIA, Vice President, Alliant Employee Benefits
SUPPORT HIP THROUGH THE HINES FAMILY FUND
You can support this program and help us end homelessness in Vermont by giving a gift today! Any donation makes a difference.
Our goal is to raise $150,000 to support a total of 60 participants in our initial pilot. This program is already having a tremendous impact on not only those enrolled, but also their neighbors and surrounding communities. In fact, we named our HIP fund the ‘Hines Family Fund’ in honor of James Hines, a HIP participant who helped save the life of a community member by performing CPR.
