Opened in 2025, Reid Commons offers 33 one- and two-bedroom apartments, with a range of rents to serve a mixed-income community. Amenities include a lounge, spacious community room with kitchen, garden planters, gym, on-site laundry facilities, on-site parking (some covered) , air conditioning, secure building access, elevators, and a walkable location close to nearby goods and services. Residents have access to SASH® (Support and Services at Home). SASH features an on-site care coordinator and a part-time wellness nurse who plan and implement educational programs, wellness and exercise programs, and social activities. There is also a part-time social emotional wellness clinician available on-site. The building was constructed to Efficiency Vermont’s “High Performance” standard for energy efficiency and is a fossil fuel free building utilizing a geothermal heating/cooling system. Rent includes heat, air conditioning, hot water, laundry, electricity, water and sewer, and trash and recycling.

ELIGIBILITY

Residents must be 55 or older. One-bedroom tax-credit apartments are available to those with a maximum gross annual income of $45,450 or $54,540 or $72,720 for one person. Households with a maximum annual income of $54,540 or $72,720 for one person or $62,340 or $83,120 for two people are eligible for two-bedroom apartments. Households with a maximum annual income of $45,450 for one person or $51,950 for two are eligible for subsidized apartments, which cap rent at 30% of income These limits are as of October 2025. Section 8 portable vouchers, which also cap rent at 30% of income, may be used for tax-credit apartments.
